Behind Valour Place is a team of passionate community members who give their time and expertise to ensure our doors stay open for those who need it most.
Connie is an Occupational Therapist in private practice specializing in physical and cognitive functional testing. She joined the Valour Place board following in her father’s footsteps, honouring his vision for a “hope away from home”. Golfing, staying active and traveling the world with family and friends fill her life with joy.

Ryan is an associate at a local law firm. He joined the Valour Place Board as he feels very strongly about the importance of the mission of Valour Place and the service it provides to the military, veteran and first responder communities. When not working, Ryan enjoys travelling and coaching his son’s soccer team.
Jayme is the owner of a local accounting firm and has spent more than 20 years working in the accounting industry. Having seen the sacrifices made by military members, first responders, and their families, Jayme was inspired to contribute her time and financial expertise to an organization that provides support during challenging times.
Jennifer is a strategic and inspiring Human Resources Manager at a mid-size law firm. Jennifer has spent her career translating business vision into HR initiatives that improve performance, growth and employee engagement. She joined the Valour Place Board to contribute meaningfully to her community and to support an organization whose vision and mission she deeply values. Jennifer has had multiple family members and friends serve in the military, RCMP, and as a first responder so she understands the vital role Valour Place plays.

Pierre is a partner at a local, veteran owned law firm. He joined the Valour Place Board to maintain his connection with the military community, after retiring from the Canadian Armed Forces. When Pierre is not working hard for his clients, he enjoys hunting, camping, gardening, but most of all spending time with his wife and children.
Robin is a retired sales manager who worked for Gregg Distributors in Edmonton for over 28 years. After losing his son in Afghanistan in 2009, he became a board member with the Canadian Heroes’ Foundation in 2014, wanting to give back to the military in his memory. Robin joined the Valour Place board with hopes to contribute more to the people who need it most and who have made sacrifices for the safety of our country.
Leilani has served within the Royal Canadian Mounted Police for over 25 years. Leilani is the serving RCMP representative on the board. She volunteers on the board to lend her voice in support of those who dedicate their lives to serving and protecting others, as well as their families, ensuring they receive the care and compassion that Valour Place provides during times of personal need.
As a youth Chuck was in Army and Sea Cadets followed by over two years in Regular Forces (Military Police) and then happily retired from the RCMP in 2001 after 28+ years service. Chuck has been involved with Valour Place for over 10 years, and first started helping at “The Walk” before becoming the RCMP Veterans representative on the board. Volunteering and golf are his pastimes of choice.
